The innovative Exxon Mobil campus is designed to optimise communication,teamwork, and thought leadership between researchers and engineers. Thecentre, which consists of a four-story laboratory and office building as well astwo single-story processing bays, strikes a careful balance between industrialproduction spaces and comfortable office environments. Arup Associatesconducted thorough interviews with stakeholders throughout the project’s design.

20% of the building’s fabric is made up of local materials, and passivestrategies such as optimised daylight allow lower energy-consumption. Inaddition, water conservation fixtures and CO2 sensors add to the sustainabledesign. It is the first LEED® Silver project for ExxonMobil in Asia.
